Well since ever thread on the board turned into a Nashville vs Pinckneyville argument. I thought maybe we could just have one thread were they all get in here and argue and leave the other threads alone.
Lets get it on! |

Last year results
January 13 2006 Lamar Latrell said nashville wins by 9 at home actual score Pinckneyville 50 Nashville 49 on a last second layup by Lucas O'rear when a 3 would have tied it. February 17, 2006 Lamar Latrell predicts nashville wins by 9 on the road actual score Pinckneyville 56 Nashville 45 March 3, 2006 sectional final at Pinckneyville Lamar Latrell predicts nashville wins by 9 actual score Pinckneyville 42 Nashville 40 when a 13 foot leaner by O'rear draws nothing but backboard So Lamar Latrell what do you say this time around? Nashville by 9?

At this point in the season both teams are better than they were last year. Nashville is deeper, but they do lose some key components when they go to their bench.
It will no doubt be a war, and it is too bad that 2 of the best teams in the state are in the same conference and same sectional complex

I don't know that Nashville loses any key components when they go to the bench. Keller and ORear both start and Lee then begins to rotate them in and out when Luke needs a quick breather.
As far as bench players, Dylan York is THE QUICKEST guy on the team and owns the baseline. If you protect the baseline he will kill you with the three shooting a salty 40%. He came off the bench in the first half of the game against St. Anthony and scored 17 points in a quarter and a half. Reckman rotates into any of four spots and averages just a couple of points per game less than the three starting guards and shoots 53% from the field. Blaine Morris also come off the bench and shoots lights out shooting 58% from the field. All three starting guards and all the bench guards average between 6-10 points per game. When Engele gets a rest, Pelczynski takes the point and he brings a different set of tools as a taller and slashing type player. The Nashville-Pinckneyville game has been building at a fever pitch all year long and next to the Riverton game, this will be the most anticipated game of the year.

Everybody from Nashville & Pinckneyville have their opinion about this one and you can pretty well quess what it is by what shade of blue they are wearing. I'd like to hear from fans from other communities who have seen them both play this year.
