Man is it going to be awesome seeing him play against the Cardinals next week. Don't know which team to root for. ahhhh Go Mets....the Cards and Mets in the playoffs would be even better.

Tonight it will officially hit Josh that he is in MLB when he gets to be on the same field and possibly stand next Albert Pujols at first base. Playing against a team and someone you grew up enjoying is a dream come true, second only to playing for that team. I will have mixed emotions watching this series.

Josh should be starting most of the games not that Barajas is on the DL. Blanco will likely continue to catch Santana while Thole will likely get a majority of the rest. Lets hope.

Top notch interview with Josh on 101.1 ESPN yesterday! The link to the interview is below. Josh is a kid that real gets "it". I have never a met a kid that is more mature, well spoken, and appreciative!

Scroll down on the page till you see the notes about Josh and press the arrow and it should play.

I was in New York Tuesday night for the game and watched Josh Thole play. Hats off to the kid on his success.

Thole was offered to the Astros....

Quote:
The Mets have rejected the Astros' proposal of Bobby Parnell and Josh Thole for Brett Myers, according to SI's Jon Heyman.

It appears as if Myers is in fact back in play, but the Astros' asking price is pretty steep. Parnell has been lights out out of the pen this year and is a future closer candidate, while Thole has hit .333 in his 93 at-bats for the Mets the last two seasons and is the team's catcher of the future. We'll see if the Astros' demands eventually come down a bit.
